Our first day on the project was to present an audition tape to the class to decide who would be in which group, there was a varied assortment of videos which all gave us a better insight into who people were and what they were about.
After viewing these videos we decided which people we would like to collaborate with and split off into groups. Our first task as a group was to think about the positives and negatives of working in a group, this was good to establish what potential problems we may come across when working in a large group and how we might tackle problems when they arise.
The next task was to see where we all fit in within the group and to establish all the skills we had collectively in a group. We made a large list and discovered that the people in our group had so many different talents, from calligraphy to sculpture and screen printing. Generally we are all
skilled at the 'crafts' and being hands on with creating design.
Our final task was to set some guidelines for our group, a kind of contract between the members to all agree on before we started the project. We all signed our contract agreeing to do the following:
- Work to your best ability and be responsible for your work.
- Listen to others ideas/ opinions and give honest feedback.
- Be punctual, turn up if you have agreed to meet.
- Be flexible for the project, if not compromise.
- Respect team members time and timetable.
- Speak less, do MORE!
